Evidence-based therapy
This is the most common type of therapy session. You come to one of our CBT counseling centers—in San Francisco or Oakland and meet with your therapist there. Individual therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes, couples therapy extends to one hour, and group therapy lasts for 90 minutes. Sessions can occur once a week, multiple times a week, or every other week, accommodating a range of needs and preferences .
We know that in today’s fast-paced world, it’s often difficult to make time for self-care. Therefore, we also offer online therapy through video or phone to help you fit your psychological health care into your busy schedule. Another option is hybrid therapy sessions, alternating between online therapy and in-office sessions, depending on your specific needs. We offer online counseling across California and coaching sessions across the United States.
We provide therapy outside the office. For example, if you struggle with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), hoarding, or social anxiety, we may conduct therapy-assisted exposures and accompany you to the location you fear. Practicing exposure in the real world is the most effective way to overcome OCD, hoarding, social anxiety, and specific phobias. In exposure treatment, your therapist provides you with coaching in the present moment.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in the Bay Area. You could say we wrote the books on it.
