A Personal Note from Eva
My Approach to Therapy
I became a therapist because I believe that change is possible — not just intellectually, but in the lived, felt experience of everyday life. I have sat with many people who came in feeling like they were spinning, like the thoughts wouldn't stop, like they already knew what they needed to do but couldn't quite get there. That gap between knowing and doing is exactly where I work.
My approach is direct and collaborative. I am not a passive listener — I am active, engaged, and genuinely invested in helping you move forward. I draw from CBT, EMDR, DBT, and psychodynamic approaches, but more than any specific technique, what guides me is a deep respect for your resilience. You have more capacity than you may currently feel. My job is to help you access it.
EMDR is a particularly meaningful part of my practice. For clients carrying the weight of trauma — whether a single event or a lifetime of accumulated experiences — EMDR offers a path to healing that goes beyond talking. It works at the level of the nervous system, helping the brain process what it has been unable to fully integrate. I have seen it create profound shifts for people who had tried many other approaches without lasting relief.
Outside of the office, I am someone who loves being near water — the ocean, a lake, a creek — and finds renewal in long walks, good food, and time with family. I bring that same groundedness into the room. Therapy with me is a real relationship, built on honesty, respect, and a shared commitment to your growth.
If you are ready to stop spinning and start moving, I would be honored to work with you.
