About Anna
Anna Maurice is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who works with children, adolescents, and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, life transitions, and questions of identity and self-esteem. Many of the people she works with already understand their patterns but still feel stuck in them. They want tools that actually work and a clearer picture of why the same struggles keep coming back.
Anna holds a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and a law degree (JD). She has worked in private practice, school-based mental health, and community mental health. That range means she has seen how school, family, work, and community shape what a person is going through. Her legal background adds a sharp analytical eye, careful and clear communication, and a real understanding of the complicated systems people live inside.
Her approach is integrative and collaborative. She draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), attachment-based and relational therapy, trauma-informed care, and solution-focused interventions. Clients leave sessions with concrete skills for managing anxiety, low mood, and conflict. They also look at how past experiences and relationships shape the way they see themselves now.
Anna offers online therapy across California. Outside of her clinical work, she reads, travels, spends time in bookstores, plays piano, and enjoys time with her family. She finds inspiration in art, design, and the everyday rituals that make life feel a little more magical.
In Her Own Words
A Personal Note from Anna
My Approach to Therapy
I believe real change comes from two things working together: practical tools you can use this week, and a deeper understanding of yourself, your history, and your relationships. One without the other usually doesn't last. In our work, I'll be direct and collaborative, and I'll make sure you feel understood. Therapy should be a place where you can be honest about what's hard and leave with something you can actually use.
